Danny is charming, handsome, arrogent and manipulative. Although he is terrible in school (he's in grade 11 for the third time), he is very smart when it comes to manipulating and controlling people. He's by no means a bad person, he just likes to get what he wants. Very few people see the evil side of him though. Veronica, Scout and Tony are the only ones that see his true colours (although they are still friends with him, especially Tony). Mitchell, being as smart as he is, becomes Danny's good friend, who ends up just getting screwed over by him, until Danny relizes how mean he is being.

Danny and Lydia had been going out for 5 months when the show started, and broke up at the end of The Party. They breifly get back together but Lydia relizes how there relationship was only based on sex and neither of them truely cared for each other they should. Danny hooks up with many girls during the course of the show. The most important one being Abigail Slack, whom is Scout's enemy and is hated by Lydia and Veronica also. At the end of the season, he is in the school hallways getting something out of his locker when he bumps into Kate McNamara, their Psychology teacher and they start their affair.

One of the most important relationships in Danny's life is with his sister, Emma. She's three years younger (15) but acts more mature and responsible then Danny. She pretty much takes care of him because she loves him and wants him to love her back. He doesn't treat her that well, he pushes her over, and she just goes with it because she knows deep down he really cares about her. They're personalities are practically oppisite. Danny hates the fact that Emma is smarter then him and he resents her for that. They end up getting closer though and he tells her she's the only person that he truely cares about, which was Emma was wanting to hear for a long time.
